Lindenhof takes over the majority of shares in Sonnenhof Hospitals

15 January 2012 – The Lindenhof Foundation takes over the majority of the shares in the two Sonnenhof Hospitals in the city of Berne with retroactive effect as from 1st January 2012. Comprising Lindenhof Hospital and the two Sonnenhof Hospitals Engeried and Sonnenhof, the Foundation will be conducting a strong private hospital group being one of the leading private providers of Swiss healthcare. The Foundation thus contributes substantially to ensure a comprehensive medical assistance of high quality by private hospitals for the Bernese as well as for the entire Swiss population.

Walder Wyss has advised Lindenhof Foundation in all legal aspects of the transaction. The responsible team was headed by Daniel Staffelbach (Partner, Corporate) and Markus Vischer (Partner, Corporate) and included Lucas Hänni (Managing Associate, Corporate), Barbara A. Keiser (Associate, Corporate) and Fabienne Claudon (Associate, Corporate).
