Migros-Genossenschafts-Bund acquires a minority stake of 30% in Galaxus AG with the option to acquire the majority.

The Galaxus group operates the online shops www.digitec.ch and www.galaxus.com and several retail stores. Digitec and Galaxus are Switzerland’s No. 1 multi-channel shops for consumer electronics & IT and multi-category products respectively. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.

Walder Wyss acted as legal counsel of the founding shareholders. The team included Markus Vischer (partner, M&A), Florian Gunz Niedermann (managing associate, M&A), Martin Busenhart (partner, Tax) and Noëmi Schenk (associate, Tax).
