SWICA Healthcare Organisation receives authorisation for telemedical treatment in the Canton of Zurich

23 April 2018 – The canton of Zurich has an extremely restrictive legislation for the licencing of telemedical treatments to patients. As an innovative health insurer, the SWICA Health Organisation has set itself the goal of providing patients throughout Switzerland with qualitatively optimised treatment via its telemedical offering from Winterthur. The Canton of Zurich has granted its first licence for telemedical services for a trial period of three years.

Walder Wyss advised SWICA on this approval procedure. The team included Daniel Staffelbach (Partner Healthcare), Michael Isler (Partner, IP/IT) and Kerstin Noëlle Vokinger (Associate, Healthcare).
