18 September 2019 – From the beginning of October 2013, the Canton of Zurich refused to pay for the treatment of Zurich patients at the Aadorf Clinic. The clinic has won the case before the Federal Supreme Court. The conduct of the Canton of Zurich was illegal. The ruling includes a clear vote in favour of Free Hospital Choice and the quality competition between the listed hospitals across cantonal borders that it aims to achieve.
