National Council starts examination of draft Data Protection Act

23 September 2019 – The National Council has begun examining the draft Data Protection Act (draft DPA). In spite of a minority’s motion to refer the draft back to the Federal Council and respectively, to the National Council’s Political Institutions Committee (PIC-NC), the National Council decided on 24 September 2019 to start with its examination and debate of the draft DPA and its proposed amendments.
