Acquisition of Klinik Gais AG, kardiale Rehabilitation, Psychosomatik und Psychotherapie

24 October 2019 – Stiftung Kliniken Valens, with registered office in Pfäfers, Switzerland has acquired Klinik Gais AG, kardiale Rehabilitation, Psychosomatik und Psychotherapie, with registered office in Gais, Switzerland. As of January 2020 Klinik Gais will become a 100% subsidiary of Kliniken Valens. Kliniken Valens are an established provider on the rehabilitation market with inpatient and outpatient facilities and, following the acquisition of Klinik Gais, will emerge as one of the largest rehabilitation institutions in Switzerland with roughly 500 rehabilitation beds and over 1,100 employees.

Walder Wyss advised Kliniken Valens. The team was led by Alex Nikitine (Partner, Corporate/M&A) and Jenny Süess (Associate, Corporate/M&A) and included Francis Nordmann (Partner, Real Estate), Nadja Leuthardt (Associate, Real Estate), Mirjam Olah (Associate, Healthcare) as well as Nadine Mäder (Associate, Employment) and Rafal Szala (Senior Associate, Banking/Finance).
