COMCO approves investment in SBB Cargo

1 April 2020 – On 2 April 2020, the Competition Commission (COMCO) approved the investment in SBB Cargo by Planzer and Camion-Transport. The investment is being made via joint subsidiary Swiss Combi, in which Galliker and Bertschi are investors, as well as Planzer and Camion-Transport. COMCO had examined this merger in depth. According to COMCO, the merger does not lead to the elimination of effective competition. Therefore, it is approving the merger with no conditions or requirements. This decision will make it possible to improve the profitability and competitiveness of SBB Cargo and offer new services.
