15 février 2024 – VR Group, a passenger, logistics and maintenance service company owned by the Finnish state, acquires the Swedish MTR Express (Sweden) AB from MTR Nordic AB. MTR Express operates a train connection between Stockholm and Gothenburg. The closing of the transaction is subject to competition authority clearing.

Walder Wyss acted as Swiss legal advisor for VR Group and its Finnish legal advisor Krogerus, mainly relating to the financing and purchase of trains from a Swiss based train manufacturer.
