19 novembre 2024 – Walder Wyss successfully represented Freight Investor Services ("FIS"), a world-leading broker and service provider in freight and commodity derivatives, in various proceedings before the courts of Geneva and Lausanne. The dispute arose out of the refusal of FIS's counterparties to repay a loan granted by FIS to a financial intermediary in connection with the unlocking of a structured bond in Luxembourg. After obtaining several judgments in its favour before the Swiss courts, FIS agreed to enter into a settlement agreement with its debtors under which it obtained full repayment of its loan plus interest.
