Linamar Corporation acquires Georg Fischer’s Leipzig iron foundry

As of 31 December 2025, Canadian Linamar Corporation, headquartered in Guelph, Ontario, acquired the iron foundry of Georg Fischer in Leipzig. The transaction volume amounts to EUR Mio. 45. With the integration of the Leipzig facility, Linamar is expanding its production capacities in Europe and strengthening its position as a global provider of advanced manufacturing technologies. In the future, Linamar will also be able to offer large ductile iron castings for heavy industrial applications, both for on-highway and off-highway vehicles.
