28 agosto 2019 – The Federal Council aims to combat illegal organ trafficking more effectively. In its session of 28 August 2019, the Federal Council submitted the dispatch approving the Council of Europe Convention against Trafficking in Human Organs to Parliament. The Federal Council supports the Convention, which is intended to harmonise criminal provisions internationally. In particular, the Convention provides for the prosecution of all trafficking in human organs, regardless of whether it took place in Switzerland or abroad. For more information, see here.
