31 maggio 2021 – At its meeting on 26 May 2021, the Federal Council decided that medical foot care performed by podiatrists for people with diabetes will in future be reimbursed by the compulsory health insurance (OKP). The prerequisite is a doctor's order. This will improve access to medical foot care. At its meeting, the Federal Council also specified the days for which hospitalised persons must pay the hospital contribution.
