Sale of Steigenberger Hotel Gstaad

10 December 2015 – On 8 December 2015 HUUS Gstaad AG acquired the Steigenbeger Mountain Hotel and Spa in Gstaad-Saanen from listed Acron Helvetia Immobilien AG for a purchase price of total CHF 26.26 Mio. HUUS Gstaad AG has only recently been established and is managed by the Private Equity firm Manixer. The transaction, which was announced already back in mid November 2015, was approved by the extraordinary shareholders’ meeting of Acron on 3 December 2015. The 4-star-hotel will be fully renovated and re-opened in December 2016 under the name "HUUS" and with new management.

Walder Wyss was advised the buyer, and Manixer respectively, in all legal aspects of the transaction. The Walder Wyss team was led by Markus Vischer (Partner, Corporate/M&A) and further included Lucas Hänni (Counsel, Corporate/M&A), Luc Defferrard (Partner, Banking Finance), Samuel Dürr (Partner, Tax), Samuel Lieberherr (Associate, Corporate/M&A) and Christian Lütolf (Associate, Corporate/M&A).
