28 April 2021 – The Federal Council specified its strategy for the coming months. It defined three phases until all adults who are willing to be vaccinated have been vaccinated and the measures to protect against Covid-19 can largely be lifted. The duration of the individual phases depends on the willingness of the respective population groups to be vaccinated and the course of the vaccination campaign. The Federal Council has sent the three-phase model to the cantons for consultation. Due to the far-reaching openings as of 19 April 2021 and the fragile epidemiological situation, hardly any further opening steps will be possible before 26 May 2021.
