Concert organizer acquitted

20 febbraio 2022 – The Superior Court of the Canton of Zurich has fully acquitted our client, the former managing director of one of the most important concert organizers in Switzerland, of all charges in connection with his former business activities in a judgment dated January 3, 2022.

Our client was accused of having made incomplete declarations of concert revenues and of having granted a loan to a group company shortly before the opening of bankruptcy proceedings and was subsequently charged with fraud, disloyal management, bankruptcy offenses as well as violations of copyright law.

The courts of first and second instance found our client guilty in 2016/2017. In 2018, the Federal Supreme Court overturned the fraud conviction and sent the case back to the High Court. The latter again convicted him of disloyal management and bankruptcy offences. Our second appeal against this to the Federal Supreme Court was again successful and the Federal Supreme Court remanded the case for the second time. In its decision of January 2022, the Supreme Court of the Canton of Zurich finally acquitted our client (in the third round) of all charges.

Our client was represented by Oliver M. Kunz, Philip Carr, Linda Bieri and Martin Klingler.
