Sale of Datatrans AG to Planet Payment Group

10 November 2021 – Planet Payment Group, an international provider of integrated payment solutions owned by Advent International and Eurazeo, has acquired Zurich based Datatrans AG, a leader of advanced payment solutions in the Swiss market. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Walder Wyss has advised the selling founders of Datatrans AG with regard to all legal aspects of the transaction. The team was co-led by Maurus Winzap (Partner, Tax), Florian Gunz Niedermann (Partner, Corporate/M&A) and Rafael Zemp (Managing Associate, Corporate/M&A) and further included Janine Corti (Counsel, Tax), Michael Kissling (Associate, Corporate/M&A), Hannes Meyle (Associate, IP/IT/Data Protection), Angelina Pellegrini (Associate, Employment), Natascha Rizzi (Asociate, Tax), Sabrina Kunz (Associate, Real Estate), Michael Schmassmann (Associate, Competition) and Delia Zellweger (Junior Associate, Corporate/M&A).
