Tobias Phan is a trainee lawyer in the Litigation, Private Clients and Corporate & Commercial departments of Walder Wyss in Geneva.

Tobias Phan studied at Fribourg University where he obtained a Bachelor of Law in 2019 and a Master of Law in 2022, both bilingual French-German with a specialization in European law. In 2022, he also obtained the Certificate of Advanced Legal Studies (Ecole d'avocature) at the University of Geneva. During his Master, he studied at the Center for Transnational Legal Studies in London, as well as at the Hebrew University of Jersualem. Tobias Phan then worked as a student-assistant at the Chair of European law and European migration law at Fribourg University, and published as a co-author a book on European asylum law.

Prior to joining Walder Wyss, Tobias Phan worked as a legal trainee at the Second Public Law Division of the Swiss Federal Supreme Court in Lausanne.

Tobias Phan works in French and English. He also has a good command of German and Swiss-German, and basic knowledge of Italian.
