An expert in real estate law, Nicolas Iynedjian also advises Swiss and international clients on all aspects of real estate legal matters. A significant portion of his work is in connection with real estate and includes acquisition, lease, loan, security interest, regulatory and zoning matters, as well as dispute resolution. Nicolas Iynedjian has won his last 5 appeals to the Federal Court two of them being published landmark cases (ATF 142 III 204 [commercial register]; 4A_208/2016 [constitutional prohibition of arbitrary]; 4A 550/2020 [lease, eviction]; ATF 150 I 31 [pro domo, constitutional prohibition of double taxation, real estate]; 1C_484/2023 [construction law, private law access]).

Nicolas’s work experience includes practice with a major Swiss law firm in Zurich, Geneva and Lausanne as well as with a leading US law firm in New York City. He teaches negotiation at the Lausanne University Centre for Business Law (CEDIDAC), and at the Aix-Marseille Université Faculté de droit et de science politique (DESU Droit et pratique de la médiation et de la négociation en droit des affaires). Nicolas is the author of a number of legal publications, mainly on security interests and contract negotiation.

Nicolas graduated in 1995, earned a doctorate in 1999 at the University of Lausanne and an LL.M. (Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar) at Columbia School of Law in New York City in 2003.

Nicolas speaks French, English and German. He is a member of the Vaud Bar Association, the Columbia Law School Association, the Center for Business Law of the University of Lausanne and the Vaud Young Lawyers Association. He acted as a member of Disciplinary Commission of the Vaud Bar Association and was member of the Commission of the Vaud Bar Exam.

Nicolas acted as an independent Member of the Board of Directors of Halter Holding AG from 2016 to 2024.
