IPO of Montana Aerospace AG

11 May 2021 – Walder Wyss acted as Swiss counsel to Montana Aerospace AG, a leading, highly-vertically integrated manufacturer and supplier of system components and complex assemblies for the aerospace, e-mobility and energy sectors with worldwide engineering and manufacturing operations, in its Initial Public Offering at the SIX Swiss Exchange. This IPO has been one of the first to take place under the new Swiss prospectus regime.

Montana Aerospace AG raised around CHF 440 million by issuing 17,153,997 new shares at CHF 25.65 per share, reaching a market capitalization of CHF 1.2 billion. In addition, Montana Tech Components AG, the former sole owner and now majority shareholder, has granted an over-allotment option to the underwriters of up to 2,573,099 existing shares, exercisable within 30 days following the first day of trading. The first trading day was on 12 May 2021.

Joh. Berenberg, Gossler & Co KG acted as Sole Global Coordinator and Joint Bookrunner, Zürcher Kantonalbank and Commerzbank Aktiengesellschaft as Joint Bookrunners.
