Curriculum Vitae
Valentine Schnyder is a senior associate in our Banking & Finance team. She advises banks and financial institutions on all regulatory aspects related to their activities as well as financial products and services. Her areas of expertise also include mergers and acquisitions, corporate, commercial law and structured finance.
In addition, Valentine has expertise in the field of sustainable development, specifically in corporate social and environmental responsibility and serves as board member to a non-profit foundation dedicated to reducing the environmental impact of human activity. She regularly advises companies in this area and has a profound understanding of various certifications in the field.
Valentine Schnyder studied at the Geneva University where she obtained a Bachelor of Laws in 2013 and a Master of Laws in 2015 which included two exchanges, the first at the University of Lucerne and the second at the Université du Québec, in Montreal. Furthermore, she completed the program of the University of Cambridge, Judge Business School, on Circular Economy and Sustainability Strategies.
Prior to joining Walder Wyss, Valentine Schnyder worked in the legal department of a Swiss private bank and in the legal department of one of the Big Fours. She then completed her traineeship at Walder Wyss and was admitted to the Geneva Bar in October 2019.
Valentine Schnyder works in French, English and Spanish. She has a good command of German and Italian.
