Benjamin Sommerhalder works as an associate at Walder Wyss. He advises clients predominantly in the areas of corporate law, real estate and construction law as well as contract law with focus on employment law and represents parties in court.

Benjamin Sommerhalder studied at the Universities of Basel and Geneva (BLaw 2016, MLaw 2018) and at the University of Dublin's Trinity College (LL.M. 2021). Before joining Walder Wyss as an associate, he gained professional experience at the Appellate Court of Basel-Stadt and worked as a research assistant at the University of Basel. He was admitted to the bar in the canton of Basel-Stadt in 2019.

In addition to his professional activities, Benjamin Sommerhalder has honorary mandates on various association boards and is a reserve officer in the armed forces legal corps.

Benjamin Sommerhalder primarily advises clients in German, English and French and speaks Italian as well. He is registered with the bar registry of the canton of Basel-Stadt and is authorised to represent cases throughout Switzerland.
