Ramona Fischer-Shand is a senior associate in the litigation and arbitration team based in Zurich with a focus on private clients. She regularly represents and advises Swiss and foreign private clients, foundations, banks and family offices in complex domestic and international inheritance cases and in adult protection law. She also assists clients with estate planning and settlement matters, as well as with foundation, trust and matrimonial property law. She represents clients before state courts and authorities, in international arbitration, and in enforcement and judicial assistance proceedings.
Ramona Fischer-Shand studied at the University of Lucerne (MLaw, 2017, summa cum laude), the University of Tasmania (Exchange Semester, 2017) and at the Columbia University (LL.M., 2025, high honors).
Before joining Walder Wyss, she worked for an international law firm in Zurich and for the Canton of Zurich. Prior to that, she worked as at a district court and a law firm in the Canton of Lucerne and served as a research assistant at the University of Lucerne in the fields of private law, comparative law, private international law and European law.
She was admitted to the bar in 2019. In 2023, she became a CEDR-accredited mediator (London). She practiced as mediator during her LL.M. at Columbia Law School.
Ramona Fischer-Shand works in German and English. She is also fluent in French and Spanish. She is registered in the Bar Register of the Canton of Zurich and is admitted to practice throughout Switzerland.
