Michael Feit is a partner in the Litigation & Arbitration Team with nearly 20 years of experience in international arbitration and cross-border litigation. He has extensive expertise representing clients in complex disputes under all major arbitration rules (including ICC, LCIA, WIPO and Swiss Rules) and in ad hoc proceedings. Michael Feit also regularly serves as arbitrator, acting as presiding arbitrator, co-arbitrator, and sole arbitrator (including under the ICC, ICSID, and Swiss Rules).

His practice spans both commercial and investment arbitration, with experience in proceedings seated in civil and common law jurisdictions, and disputes governed by a wide range of laws, including Delaware, English, French and various Eastern European laws.
Michael Feit represents clients across a broad range of industries such as pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, gas delivery, fertilizers, distribution, construction, aviation, telecommunications, railways, transshipment services, and in post-M&A disputes.
Michael Feit has published numerous articles on commercial and investment arbitration and over one hundred case reports on arbitration decisions of the Swiss Federal Supreme Court. He is also co-author of several leading commentaries on arbitration in Switzerland and is regularly invited to speak at international arbitration conferences.
Michael Feit’s recent victories for his clients include successfully defending against a post-M&A claim with an amount at stake exceeding USD 100 million, securing the dismissal of a USD 35 million damages claim arising from a failed joint venture in the Middle East, achieving a favorable award in a high-value construction arbitration concerning a turnkey project in South-East Asia, rescinding a share purchase agreement worth one billion Russian rubles based on fraudulent misrepresentation and obtaining favorable arbitral awards and Supreme Court decisions dismissing the claims brought against his clients on jurisdictional grounds.

Michael Feit was educated at Zurich University (lic. iur. 1999, Dr. iur. 2007 awarded with the Issekutz Prize) and New York University (LL.M. 2009, Dean's Graduate Award Scholar). He worked as a law clerk, as a teaching and research assistant at the University of Zurich for contract law and as a senior associate in the international arbitration practice group of a major law firm in London.
Michael Feit practices in German and English. He is registered with the Zurich Bar Registry and admitted to practice in all Switzerland.
