Markus Schülin's main areas of work are commercial, corporate and foundation law. He also works in real estate law (including building rights), estate and succession planning (including settlement and distribution of estates), marriage and inheritance law, representation law (including Advance Care Directives), as well as security law (including guarantees). He also has experience in the field of ship assignments.
Born in 1961, Markus Schülin studied at the University of Basel (lic. iur. 1986; Dr. iur. 1990), obtained the admission to the bar in the canton of Basel-Stadt (1991) and the ad-mission to practise as a notary in the canton of Basel-Stadt (1995). Before joining Walder Wyss he run his own practice as an independent lawyer and notary in Basel (1991-2017).
Markus Schülin's professional languages are German, English and French. He is registered with the bar registry of Basel and is admitted as notary in Basel.
